Battle At Primm

The Battle at Primm for the Chicken Ranch car was a blast. We had 5 cars in our group and an amazing tent with Chicken Ranch gear for sale.
Friday qualifying was fun but the 40 degree cold caused our engine to bog down. We ended up with a mid-pack qualifying start.
Saturday race day was fast, and we had a very competitive start and rubbed panels with another car in the stadium. We ended up racing him for three laps and were trying to pass him on lap three. There is a 90 degree turn just before the hot pits. We braked late to try and get an advantage in the turn, rolled and ended up upside down as we carried too much speed into the turn. After 5 – 10 minutes, which seemed as an eternity. We were flipped over and got running again. Ended up in the top 15 finish.
Saturday night was a great night in the pits as the Chicken Ranch team sponsored and fed close to 70 racers. We enjoyed Smoked Tri Tip and Chicken with old friends and new.
Sunday Mauro took the wheel and ran very well. He finished in the top 13.
The Chicken Ranch car finished the weekend with a 12 place position, after a roll and some challenges we had a good finish.
